Your true mountain balloon adventure begins at sunrise amidst the crisp clean air and the deep blue skies of the South Park Valley located high in the Central Rockies. Perched 9,000-10,000 feet above sea level this National Heritage Area offers the ultimate topography for hot air ballooning with a mixture of vast rolling hills, 360 degree panoramic mountain views and native wildlife. There are 54, 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado and 36 of them are visible from our flight area. The launch site is centrally located for easy access from Colorado's major resorts (Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Vail and Beaver Creek), as well as, Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Littleton, Cripple Creek, Buena Vista, Salida, Canon City, Fairplay, Divide, Manitou Springs, Jefferson, Conifer, Bailey and Woodland Park.
The Experience
You will arrive at the launch site where hot coffee and snacks await you as you watch in awe as your balloon is inflated and prepared for flight. Next you'll climb aboard with great anticipation as your pilot gives you a briefing and flight instructions. Before you know it, you lift effortlessly into the air and begin your peaceful journey.
You will take in amazing views of the Colorado Rockies as you fly from treetop level up to several thousand feet while traveling 2 to 10 miles. During your flight you will be serenaded with classical music playing in the background as your pilot explains the history of ballooning and points out prominent scenery. After approximately one hour of magical flight it is time to return to the loving arms of Mother Earth. Next, it's time to pack up and return to the launch site for a traditional champagne toast followed by a white linen sit-down breakfast prepared on site featuring bacon, eggs, french toast, hash browns, fresh fruit and pastry. At the conclusion of your once in a lifetime balloon adventure you will be presented with a DVD pictorial of your flight and a commemorative champagne glass to cherish for years to come.

The price listed above is current and up-to-date. A $7.50 per person fuel surcharge will be added to the total price of your reservation. There are no other use fees, taxes or hidden charges.

We have found that the majority of our passengers are celebrating a special occasion of some kind. With this in mind, we have tailored our hot air ballooning experience to be a celebration that exceeds all expectations. We provide not just a balloon ride, but a lifetime memory filled with amenities.
Reservations
Our 2012 Mountain flight season runs from May 26 - October 8. Flights are offered 7 days a week, weather permitting. Due to harsh weather conditions and persistent strong winds we do not fly any other time of the year. Please note that our reservation department is open 365 days a year.
Our fleet of balloons can accommodate up to 34 passengers per day. Larger groups can be accommodated with advance notice.
Please book early in your stay in case inclement weather creates the need to reschedule your flight.
Our flights are approximately one hour in the air. We fly in a high altitude, mountainous environment and weather conditions can change quickly. Therefore, our flights may be longer or shorter than stated due to weather, safety concerns and/or availability of landing sites. Please allow a good portion of your morning for the entire experience.
All reservations must be held with a Visa, MasterCard or Discover card. Note: Credit Card charges will not be processed until after the flight is completed.
All passengers must sign a Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement prior to participation.
Cancellation Policy
Any passenger cancellation 7 days or less from the scheduled flight time will be charged in full.
There is no penalty for passenger cancellation if notice is given to Colorado Hot Air Balloon Rides more than 7 days before the scheduled flight time.
No payment is due if your flight is canceled by Colorado Hot Air Balloon Rides due to inclement weather.
